Father Charged in Killing of 10-Year-Old Daughter and Abuse of Two Sons After Alleged Belt Attack Described as “Discipline”

Child Found Unresponsive After “Discipline” Incident

A Delaware father, Badara Kone, 49, has been charged with murder following the death of his 10-year-old daughter, Fatima Kone, after authorities ruled her death a homicide.

Police say the child was found unresponsive in her bedroom after an incident the father described as “discipline” involving repeated strikes with a leather belt.

Allegations of Fatal Physical Assault

Investigators allege Kone struck his daughter multiple times, causing her to fall and hit her head on furniture. Emergency services were reportedly not called for an extended period after she became unresponsive.

Authorities later confirmed that her death was consistent with serious physical trauma, leading to murder charges.
