A disturbing case in Glasgow has ended in a murder conviction after Nicole Blain, 30, was found guilty of killing her 19-day-old daughter, Thea Wilson.

Prosecutors told the court the newborn suffered severe injuries, including skull fractures and broken ribs, which medical experts described as catastrophic and inconsistent with accidental harm.

Forensic Evidence Rejected Alternative Explanation

Blain initially suggested that another child may have been responsible for the injuries. However, the jury rejected this claim after hearing detailed forensic and medical evidence presented during the trial.

Experts concluded the injuries required significant force and were not compatible with her account of events.
